Roll Call
Committee Chair Carol Frazey called the meeting to order at 1:05 p.m. in a
virtual meeting.
Present: 3 - Carol Frazey, Todd Donovan and Rud Browne
Absent: None
Also Present: Barry Buchanan, Tyler Byrd, and Ben Elenbaas
Announcements
Special Presentation
1. AB2021-326 Presentation of the Child and Family Well -Being Task Force Phase I Report
Allison Williams, Health Department, reported and answered when the task
force might have concrete recommendations for the Council.
Frazey stated she sees the task force as a model for other task groups in the
future.
This agenda item was REPORTED.
Committee Discussion and Recommendation to Council
1. AB2021-320 Discussion of community -requested revision to the Birch Bay Golf Cart Zone
boundary, and request for Council direction
The following people briefed the Councilmembers:
• Doug Ranney, Public Works Department
• Doralee Booth, Birch Bay Chamber of Commerce
Ranney answered questions about the request, what is being asked of the
Council, what is involved and included in doing a traffic study, and whether
an ordinance could be brought to the Council without a traffic study.
Donovan moved to recommend that the Public Works Department do a
traffic study on this proposal.
The motion carried by the following vote:
Aye: 3 - Donovan, Browne, and Frazey
