CALL TO ORDER
Committee Chair Barbara Brenner called the meeting to order at 11:30 a.m. in the
Council Chambers, 311 Grand Avenue, Bellingham, Washington.
ROLL CALL
Present: Barbara Brenner, Barry Buchanan, and Carol Frazey
Absent: None
Also Present: Rud Browne, Tyler Byrd, Todd Donovan, and Satpal Sidhu
COMMITTEE DISCUSSION
1. AB2019-365 DISCUSSION REGARDING AN ORDINANCE GRANTING
COMCAST CABLE COMMUNICATIONS MANAGEMENT, LLC, A NON-EXCLUSIVE
FRANCHISE FOR THE PROVISION OF CABLE SERVICES
Buchanan moved to recommend approval to the full Council.
The motion carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Brenner, Buchanan, and Frazey (3)
Nays: None (0)
Andrew Hester, Public Works Department, gave a staff report and answered
questions on using the available public channels and whether there is a significant difference
between four and five percent.
Brenner moved to forward to the full Council for a hearing and decision.
The motion carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Brenner, Buchanan, and Frazey (3)
Nays: None (0)
2. AB2019-367 DISCUSSION REGARDING AN ORDINANCE GRANTING
WAVEDIVISION I, LLC, A NON-EXCLUSIVE FRANCHISE FOR THE PROVISION
OF CABLE SERVICES IN COUNTY RIGHTS -OF -WAY
Frazey moved to forward to the full Council for a hearing and decision.
The motion carried by the following vote:
