CALL TO ORDER
Committee Chair Tyler Byrd called the meeting to order at 3:03 p.m. in the Council
Chambers, 311 Grand Avenue, Bellingham, Washington.
ROLL CALL
Present: Barbara Brenner, Tyler Byrd, and Todd Donovan
Absent: None
Also Present: Barry Buchanan, Carol Frazey, and Satpal Sidhu
COMMITTEE DISCUSSION AND RECOMMENDATION TO COUNCIL
1. AB2019-295 REQUEST COUNCIL REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF THE PROPOSED
PUBLIC PARTICIPATION PLAN FOR THE 2020 SHORELINE MASTER
PROGRAM PERIODIC UPDATE
Cliff Strong, Planning and Development Services Department, submitted and read
from a presentation (on file) and answered questions on addressing proposed changes to
the master program, approval by resolution or ordinance, the scoping process, the list of
stakeholders, notifications to the public, and the timeline for Planning Commission review.
Brenner moved to recommend approval of the plan to the full Council and for
councilmembers to submit ideas for additional stakeholders to staff.
Councilmembers discussed the process for adding names to the list.
The motion to amend carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Brenner, Byrd, and Donovan (3)
Nays: None(0)
OTHER BUSINESS
There was no other business.
