ORDINANCE NO. 2019-030
Ordinance amending Project Budget No. 2 (East Whatcom Regional Resource
Center, as established through Ordinance 2008-025, eighth request, in the amount
of $115,000, for a total project budget of $6,212,571
WHEREAS, the initial construction of the East Whatcom Regional Resource Center
(EWRRC) was substantially completed in 2011; and
WHEREAS, on February 9, 2016 the Whatcom County Council approved Ordinance
2016-004 to increase the original project budget to expand the building to accommodate a
food bank and multi -use facility; and
WHEREAS, on July 10, 2018 the Whatcom County Council approved Resolution
2018-025 to increase the REET I Fund contribution to the project budget by an additional
$115,000 to supplement funding needed for the full design and build out of the EWRRC food
bank distribution center and multi -use programming community space; and
WHEREAS, the $115,000 was transferred in 2018 and expenditure authority is now
needed to be able to spend the funds,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that
Ordinance No. 2008-025 is hereby amended adding $115,000 of expenditure authority, as
presented in Exhibit A, to the original project budget and subsequent amendments, for a
total ameng& roj ��c�VbOget of $6,212,571.
