ROLL CALL Present: Barbara Brenner and Barry Buchanan Absent: Tim Ballew Also Present: Rud Browne, Tyler Byrd, Todd Donovan, and Satpal Sidhu SPECIAL PRESENTATION 1. REGULATORY UPDATE FROM PUGET SOUND ENERGY (AB2018 -348) Lynn Murphy, Puget Sound Energy Government Affairs, submitted and read from a presentation (on file) on regulatory overview, current resources, future planning, and renewable resources and opportunities. She answered questions. Murphy and councilmembers discussed growth in customer load, residential solar arrays and net metering, the estimated payback period for solar, energy credits, and expanding natural gas generation. Brenner moved to recommend that the Council support the electric vehicle pilot project. The motion carried by the following vote: Ayes: Ballew and Buchanan (2) Nays: None (0) Absent: Ballew (1) OTHER BUSINESS Brenner reported on a recent Committee vote regarding the Public Health Advisory Board seeking support to move forward with a proposal for a resolution to stand in support of immigrant families in Whatcom County (AB2018 -312). She moved to reconsider the Committee's vote to support immigrants and recommend moving forward with the resolution without specifying they support only legal immigrants.
