CLOSING 2015 CENTRAL PLAZA IMPROVEMENT FUND 360
WHEREAS, on November 25, 2014 Ordinance 2014 -076 created the 2015 Central Plaza
Improvement Fund and established a project based budget for this capital project, and
WHEREAS, the Real Estate Excise Tax Fund I (REET 1) contributed $160,000 towards the
endeavor, and
WHEREAS, the roof replacement and sidewalk/asphalt repairs and tree removal have now been
completed, and
WHEREAS, the project fund is no longer needed, and
WHEREAS, remaining cash in the fund should be returned to the REET I Fund, and
WHEREAS, the current cash balance in the fund is $13,149.52,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that the 2015
Central Plaza Improvement Fund be dissolved and its remaining cash balance returned to the
REET I Fund.
