ORDINANCE NO. 2016 -061
CLOSING RURAL ROAD SAFETY PROGRAM FUND 343
WHEREAS, on November 20, 2012 Ordinance 2012 -053 created the Rural Road
Safety Program Fund and funded the project; and,
WHEREAS, the Road Fund contributed preliminary engineering and the grant
reimbursement for those costs was deposited into the program fund; and,
WHEREAS, the project has now been completed; and,
WHEREAS, the program fund is no longer needed; and,
WHEREAS, remaining cash in the fund should be returned to the Road Fund; and,
WHEREAS, the current cash balance in the fund is $39,620,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that the
Rural Road Safety Program Fund be dissolved and its remaining cash balance be returned to
the Road Fund.
