To comply with R C W 46.61.2 00 and 47.36.110, it is found necessary to modify traffic control signs on
Jackson Road at the intersection of Bay Road.

ORDINANCE NO. 2016 -005
INSTALLING STOP SIGNS ON ROADS WITHIN THE COUNTY
WHEREAS, stop sign installation has been requested by a citizen; and
WHEREAS, it is found possible to install stop signs to help control traffic, at the
intersection of Jackson Road with Bay Road; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the existing intersection of Jackson Road and Bay Road be
modified to an all -way stop.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that the following
be added to the Whatcom County Code Section 10.16 as follows:
Road Name Direction
Cross Street
- Stopping
Jackson Road Northbound
Bay Road
Jackson Road Southbound
Bay Road
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Engineer is hereby directed to install the
appropriate signs and that the Whatcom County Sheriff be notified by a copy of this ordinance..
