The meeting was called to order at 12:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 1000 N.
Forest St., 2nd floor, by Marge Laidlaw, 1992 Chair.

1. ELECTION OF COMMITTEE CHAIR
LAIDLAW NOMINATED WARNER.
The nomination carried unanimously and Warner took over as chair.
2. DISCUSSION WITH PROJECT MANAGER OF THE COURTHOUSE
ADDITION REGARDING COUNCIL & HEARING EXAMINER
CONCERNS ABOUT THE MOVING COSTS, TIMING, AND SOUND
SYSTEM (AB92 -262)
Topics discussed: Sound system in current Council Chambers after move; funding
for sound systems; other facilities remaining in Forest St. facility like phones, storage
space, etc.; other users of this space besides the Hearing Examiner; overlap between
vacating DIS and Council's vacating this space; potential temporary use of the
conference room; current status on remodel; miscellaneous items to be resolved on the
contract; coordination with the phone system; L&I appeal; Safety Officer concerns;
Council's expected move date.
