HomeMy WebLinkAboutSpecial Council for June 25 1984SPECIAL COMCIL MMTING Minutes -- June 25, 1984 The Special Council meeting was called to order on Monday, June 25, 1984 at 7:41 p.m. by Public Services Ccamittee Chairman Jim Hawley with all members present except Johnson and Cole. The purpose of the meeting was —to consider an ORDINANCE IN THE MATTER OF GRANTING A 114ON- EXCLUSIVE FRANCHISE TO NATION WIDE CABLE - VISION, INC., FOR A PERIOD OF 25 YEARS PURSUANT TO STATE LAW AND SECTION 9.30 OF THE WHATC'OM COUNTY HOME RULE CH1WER, TO OPERATE AND MAINTAIN A CABLE COOK NICATION SYSTEM WITHIN THE UNINCORPORATED AREAS OF WH1d)C M COUNTY. ROEHL MOM TO AMEND THE ORDINANCE AS F0LLCIWS: Page 4, line 9 Change "Section 5 ".to "Section 8" Motion carried. ROEHL MOVED TO AMEMgD THE ORDINANCE AS FOLLOWS: Page 18, line 24, after the word "system", strike the period and add the following language: nor shall such term include any taxes on services furnished b the Grantee which .are imposed directly on any subscriber or user by State, County or an other governwntal unit. and collected by the Grantee on behalt ot such crovernmental unit. Motion carried. BECKER MOVED TO AMEND THE ORDINANCE, AS FOLLOWS: Page 23, add the following: Section 33.
