Minutes -- October 16, 1984
The Law and Justice Committee was called to order at 1:15 p.m.
by Chairperson Johnson. Also in attendance was Committee member
Hawley, Tom Fillion, and the applicant.
LIQUOR LICENSE APPLICATION - JACKPOT FOOD MART
HAWLEY MOVED TO RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE LIQUOR LICENSE
FOR CLASS EF, FILED BY SCHWENDIMAN, BARNHART AND GRACE FOR THE
JACKPOT FOOD MART AT 4564 GUIDE MERIDIAN.
Motion carried.
OTHER BUSINESS
Hawley presented correspondence received from the Lummi
Island Grange requesting an illuminating light at the inter-
section of Haxton Way and Highway 540. Hawley requested that
the Engineering Department and Sheriff's Office contact Edith
Granger, secretary for the Grange, and that they also review
and submit their comments and recommendations to the Chairperson
of the Law and Justice Committee regarding this matter.
The meeting adjourned at 1:30 p.m.
