Bill Trimm, Planning Director, explained the background on the
petition for vacation of a portion of Highland Drive and Echo Place
filed by Fred Boettner. He explained that the Planning Department
concurred with the Engineering Department in recommending denial of
the petition as it now stands.
Mr. Boettner explained his reasons for requesting the petition
for vacation.
There was discussion on the proposed vacation.
JOHNSON MOVED TO HOLD OVER THIS REQUEST FOR VACATION FILED BY
FRED BOETTNER UNTIL ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS PROVIDED, OR UNTIL THE
SHORT PLAT HAS BEEN APPLIED FOR AND /OR PASSED, OR UNTIL ADEQUATE
ARRANGEMENTS ARE MADE WITH THE ADJOINING LANDOWNER, MR. PEEPLES.
Chairman Muenscher restated the motion.
The motion carried.
ORDINANCE TEMPORARILY CREATING NEW SECTIQNS TO BOTH THE WHATCOM
COUNTY INTERIM ZONING ORDINANCE, TITLE 2.24, AND THE OFFICIAL
WHATCOM COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE, TITLE 20, REGARDING TEMPORARY
RECREATION VEHICLE PARKS AND CAMPGROUNDS
There was discussion on the proposed ordinance temporarily
creating new sections to both the Whatcom County Interim Zoning
Ordinance, Title 2.24, and the Official Whatcom County Zoning Ordin-
ance, Title 20, to be known as Section 2.24B and 20B respectively, to
allow temporary recreational vehicle parks and campgrounds in speci-
fied zone districts as permitted uses subject to administrative
approval only during the period from April 1, 1986 through November
30, 1986.

Bill Trimm, Planning Director, distributed a list of housekeeping
amendments to the ordinance.
It was decided to hold this ordinance in Committee for further
review.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
