Minutes -- July 25, 1985
The Whatcom County Council Planning and Development Commit-
tee was called to order at 6:35 p.m. by Chairperson Muenscher
with all members present.
ORDINANCE - TEMPORARY BED & BREAKFAST DURING EXPO
Muenscher explained the background on the ordinance tempor-
arily amending the Whatcom County Interim Zoning Ordinance,
Chapter 2.24 of the Whatcom County Code and the Official Whatcom
County Zoning Ordinance, Title 20 W.C.C., to allow temporary bed
and breakfast establishments in specified zone districts as a
permitted use subject to administrative approval only during the
period from April 1, 1986 through November 30, 1986.
ROEHL MOVED TO AMEND EXHIBIT "A" BACK TO THE ORIGINAL
LANGUAGE AND TO RECOMMEND APPROVAL TO THE FULL COUNCIL OF THE
ORDINANCE IN ITS ORIGINAL LANGUAGE.
Roehl spoke to the motion.
Chairperson Muenscher restated the motion.
Johnson spoke in support of amending the exhibit back to the
original language, but spoke against the intent of the ordinance.
The motion to amend Exhibit "A" back to the original
language and to recommend approval to the full Council of the
ordinance in its original language carried.
APPEAL FILED BY BERT SHRADER OF THE ASSESSOR'S DENIAL OF AN
OPEN SPACE APPLICATION FOR AGRICULTURAL CLASSIFICATION
Roehl explained the background on the appeal.

ROEHL MOVED TO TAKE NO IACTION ON THE APPEAL FILED BY BERT '
SHRADER OF THE ASSESSOR'S DENIAL OF AN OPEN SPACE APPLICATION FOR
AGRICULTURAL CLASSIFICATION UNTIL THE OUTCOME OF THE HEARING AT
THE COUNCIL MEETING.
The motion carried, and the meeting was adjourned at 6:45
P.m.
