The.-Planning and Development Committee was called to order
on Tuesday, January 29, 1985, at 1:40 p.m. by Chairman Roehl.
AI -so in attendance were Committee members Muenscher and Johnson,
Bill Triam, Planning Department, and Donovan Kehrer, Buildings
and Code Administration.
REORGANIZATION OF COMMITTEE
Johnson nominated Muenscher for Chairperson.
It was the unanimous decision to approve Muenscher as the
new Chairperson of the Planning and Development Committee.
Roehl turned the meeting over to Muenscher.
PETITION FOR VACATION OF LOT LINE BETWEEN LOTS 29 AND 30, BLOCK 3,
DIVISION 7, PARADISE LAKES COUNTRY CLUB, M. EVERS
Donovan Kehrer explained the petitioner's request and informed
the Committee of recent meetings held with local Title Companies and
the Assessor's office concerning the lot line vacation process
and the possibility of utilizing the "Covenant to Bind Properties"
instead of vacating lot lines. He stated that he anticipated
meeting in the future with members of the Community Associations,
parti:eulavly Sudden Valley and Paradise Lakes Country Club, to see
if they would be agreeable to the idea also. He will report
back to the Planning and Development Committee and to the Council.
JOHNSON MOVED TO RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE PETITION FOR
LOT LINE VACATION FILED BY MARIANNE EVERS FOR THE LOT LINE BETWEEN
LOTS 29 AND 30, BLOCK 3, DIVISION 7, PARADISE LAKES COUNTRY CLUB.
The motion carried.
DAY AND TIME OF COMMITTEE MEETINGS
It was decided that for 1985 the Planning and Development
Committee will be meeting at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, the week before
Council meetings.,
OTHER BUSINESS
Bill Trimm and Vernon Umetsu, Planning Department, reported
on the Guide Meridian Transportation Corridor Improvement Handbook
and outlined the six main issues that will be discussed at the
Planning,,and Development Committee
