Minutes -- December 5, 1985
The Whatcom County Council Planning and Development Commit-
tee was called to order at 6 :35 p.m. by Chairperson Muenscher
with all members in attendance. Also in attendance were Bill
Trimm, Planning Director; Diane Harper, Planning Office;
Don Kehrer, Bureau of Building and Codes Administration; Matt
Harvey; Terry Johnson; Daniel Warner, County Councilmember
Elect, and Robin Barker.

Chairman Roehl explained the background on the resolution.
There was discussion on the resolution.
JOHNSON MOVED TO RECOMMEND APPROVAL TO THE FULL COUNCIL OF
THE RESOLUTION RELINQUISHING A LEASE OF EASEMENT FOR RIGHTS-OF-
WAY FOR WHARF SITE OVER AND ACROSS LAKE WHATCOM SHORELANDS.
The motion carried.

TRANSFERRING THE _LUMMI ISLAND SUBAREAS_ ERQM THE IN E� RIM

Bill Trimm, Planning Director, introduced Diane Harper
from the Planning Office; he then explained the background on the
zoning ordinance. Diane Harper discussed the zoning ordinance in
further detail.
ROEHL MOVED TO RECOMMEND APPROVAL TO THE FULL COUNCIL OF THE
ORDINANCE AMENDING THE INTERIM ZONING ORDINANCE 2.24 AND THE
OFFICIAL WHATCOM COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE TITLE 20 BY TRANSFERRING
THE LUMMI ISLAND SUBAREAS FROM THE INTERIM ZONING ORDINANCE TO
THE OFFICIAL WHATCOM COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE
The motion carried.
OTHER BUSINESS
A letter from Mr. & Mrs. Wally Markwood received at the
November 21st Council meeting requesting rezoning of their
property on the corner of the Smith & Guide Meridian Roads, will
be discussed at the next meeting of the Planning and Development,
scheduled for 12/19.
