PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
Minutes - January 2, 1986
The Whatcom County Council Planning and Development Commit-
tee was called to order at 6:40 p.m. with Councilmembers Muen-
scher, Roehl and Johnson present. Also in attendance were Tom
Burton, incoming councilmember, and Ron Peterson, Sandy Point
Improvement Company.
REVIEW PETITION IN THE MATTER OF A NON - EXCLUSIVE FRANCHISE
TO SANDY POINT IMPRQVEMENT COMPANY FOR A PERIOD OF TWENTY -
FIVE YEARS
Chairman Muenscher referred to the revised draft, dated
December 31, 1985, from the Director of Public Works.
Ron Peterson of the Sandy Point Improvement Company ex-
plained the difficulties they are having with the water line
and the need to use county right -of -ways.
JOHNSON MOVED FOR APPROVAL TO THE FULL COUNCIL THE PETITION
FOR A NON- EXCLUSIVE FRANCHISE TO SANDY POINT IMPROVEMENT COMPANY
FOR A PERIOD OF TWENTY -FIVE YEARS SUBJECT TO THE OUTCOME OF A
PUBLIC HEARING.
The motion carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:45 p.m.
