PUBLIC SERVICES COMMITTEE
October 15, 1987
The meeting was called to order at 6 :30 p.m. by Committee
Chair Johnson with all Committee members present. Also present
were Steve Adelstein and Rob Felix, representing Sudden Valley;
Doug Gill, Sheriff's Department; Paul Rushing, Public Works; and
Ed Henken, Engineer.

MQRNING AND AEIERNQON BEACH S• SUD V
Steve Adelstein and Rob Felix of Sudden Valley explained
their original request, and an amendment they wished to add to
the ordinance.
HANSEY MOVED TO RECOMMEND ADOPTION OF THE ORDINANCE WITH THE
REQUESTED AMENDMENT.
There was further discussion about the ordinance with the
Sudden Valley representative, and with Undersheriff Doug Gill,
who raised issues of liability, enforcement, and penalties
related to the ordinance.
HANSEY WITHDREW HIS MOTION.
HANSEY MOVED TO SEND THE ORDINANCE TO THE COUNCIL FOR THE
SCHEDULED PUBLIC HEARING, THEN REFER IT BACK TO THE COMMITTEE FOR
LEGAL ADVICE.
The motion carried. (The Council's attorney was able to
review the ordinance prior to the Council meeting and the amended
ordinance was passed.)

Ed Henken explained the resolution.
HANSEY MOVED TO RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE RESOLUTION.
The motion carried.
The meeting Was adjourned at 7:04 p.m.
