PUBLIC SERVICES COMMITTEE
May 7, 1987
The meeting was called to order by Committee Chair Johnson
at 6:30 P.M. with Hawley present. Hansey joined the meeting at
6:35 p.m. Also present were Randy Watts, Council Attorney; Doug
Gill, Undersheriff; Paul Rushing, Public Works; and Ed Henken,
Engineering.

The ordinance had been referred back to the Public Services
Committee from the full Council due to the need for technical
corrections in its text.
HAWLEY MOVED TO RECOMMEND ADOPTION OF THE SUBSTITUTE
ORDINANCE.
The motion carried.
Hansey joined the meeting.

and discussion followed.

OTHER BUSINESS
Hawley discussed a letter he had received expressing concern
about a large increase in fees for cable service to the residents
of Nor -Bell Care Center. He said that the Nor -Bell Board of
Trustees was dealing with the issue.

Ed Henken reported that his department expected to have the
assessment roll for the lighting district petition ready in June.
