PUBLIC SERVICES COMMITTEE
March 19, 1987
The meeting was called to order by Committee Chair Johnson
at 6:30 p.m. with Hawley present. Also present were Executive
Shirley Van Zanten; Randy Watts, Chief Civil Deputy Prosecuting
Attorney; Ed Henken, Engineering; and Marlen Hansen and Paul
Rushing of Public Works.
RESOLUTION REGARDING THE MATTER OF PLACING A NAME ON A CERTAIN
COUNTY ROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY ( "TRAIL'S END ")
County Engineer Ed Henken explained the resolution.
HAWLEY MOVED TO PASS ON THE RESOLUTION TO THE FULL COUNCIL
PENDING THE OUTCOME OF THE PUBLIC HEARING.
The motion carried.
RESOLUTION REGARDING HE MATTER OF L CING A NAME ON A CERTAIN
COUNTY ROAD RIGHT -OF -WAY ( "BRITTON LOOP ROAD ")
Henken explained the resolution.
HAWLEY MOVED TO PASS ON THE RESOLUTION TO THE FULL COUNCIL
PENDING THE OUTCOME OF THE PUBLIC HEARING.
The motion carried.
RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION 86 -61 REGARDING THE CLOSING OF
CEDARVILLE LANDFILL SITE
Executive Van Zanten explained the reasons for the
resolution. There was discussion about the resolution and about
alternatives to the use of the Cedarville landfill site.
The Committee decided to pass on the resolution to the full
Council with no recommendation except that other alternatives be
explored.
ORDINANCE REGARDING SPEED LIMITS ON VARIOUS COUNTY ROADS (SUNSET
AVENUE
Henken explained the ordinance. Johnson said he would
recommend to the Council that the title be changed to more
accurately reflect the content of the ordinance.
HAWLEY MOVED TO RECOMMEND ADOPTION OF THE ORDINANCE.

APPROVAL OF CLASS ELF LIQUOR LICENSE APPLICATION FOR WILDWOOD
RESORT, SEDRO WOOLLEY
Van Zanten presented the application.
HAWLEY MOVED TO RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE LIQUOR LICENSE
APPLICATION.
The motion carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:55 p.m.
