PUBLIC SERVICES COMMITTEE
January 8, 1987
The Committee was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Chairman
Johnson with all Committee members present. Also present were Ed
Henken, County Engineer; Randy Watts, Chief Civil Deputy
Prosecuting Attorney; and Mike Webb and other residents of the
Emerald Lake area.
ORDINANCE REGARDING THE MATTER OF PLACING STOP AND YIELD SIGNS ON
VARIOUS COUNTY ROADS
HAWLEY MOVED TO RECOMMEND ADOPTION OF THE ORDINANCE.
The motion carried.
ORDINANCE REGARDING THE MATTER OF ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMITS ON
VARIOUS COUNTY ROADS
HAWLEY MOVED TO RECOMMEND ADOPTION OF THE ORDINANCE.
The motion carried.
There was discussion about speed limits on County roads in
general.
PROPOSED R.I.D. N0. 7 - EMERALD LAKE LIGHTING DISTRICT
Mike Webb explained the concerns of area residents in regard
to street lighting.
Randy Watts explained the procedures involved for the
Council to pass a resolution of intent to create a lighting
district.
HAWLEY MOVED TO INSTRUCT THE ENGINEER TO PREPARE AN
ASSESSMENT ROLL AND OTHER PAPERWORK NECESSARY PREPARATORY TO A
RESOLUTION OF INTENT TO CREATE A LIGHTING DISTRICT IN THE EMERALD
LAKE AREA, AND IN THE MEANTIME TO HOLD THE MATTER IN COMMITTEE.
