PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
July 1, 1987
The meeting was called to order at 2 :00 p.m. by Committee
Chair Muenscher with Warner present. Also present was Carl
Batchelor of the Planning Department.

DIVISIQN 16, PLAT OE SUDDEN VALLEY, FILED BY LO ENE H A ONSO
There was discussion about the request and Buildings and
Codes' recommendation.
WARNER MOVED TO RECOMMEND THAT THE LOT LINE ERASURE NOT BE
APPROVED, BASED ON THE RECOMMENDATION FROM BUILDINGS AND CODES.
The motion carried.
REQUEST FOR CARE AND HEALIH FACILITIES AMENDMENT IQ TITLE 20
This item was postponed until the next meeting.
OPEN SPAS REYIEhi
Muenscher explained a proposal from a Planning Commission
member that parcels currently under the open space /open space
designation be reviewed for compliance with the recently- enacted
standards for that classification. The possible cost of such a
review versus the potential increased tax revenue was discussed.
Carl Batchelor agreed to try to determine how many parcels
would be involved in such a review, and report his findings to
the Committee at its next meeting.
FOOTHILLS ZONING
The timetable for the Foothills zoning process was
discussed.
JUVENILE DETENTION, CENJER
Warner said he believed that the Administration should have
a current policy statement from the Council about the future of
the Juvenile Detention Center. The Committee agreed to place
this issue on the agenda for the next meeting.
The meeting Was adjourned at 2 :20 p.m.
