COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE
May 28, 1987
The meeting was called to order by Council Chair Burton at
7 :00 p.m. with Johnson, Muenscher, Roehl and Warner present.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
An executive session was immediately called to discuss labor
negotiations. The meeting was reconvened into open session at
7 :20 p.m.
CHERRY POINT AMENDMENT
Planning Director Dan Taylor briefed the Council members on
the latest changes to the Cherry Point Amendments. The Committee
agreed to recommend acceptance of the Amendments to the full
Council.
JUVENILE DETENTION
The Committee discussed the juvenile detention facility with
Juvenile Court Administrator Gerald Wood.
SOLID WASTE RECYCLIN
Bob Jurica and Jeff Brown discussed the County's recycling
program with the Committee. They reported that an RFP had been
approved and a report from the contractor was expected shortly.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:15 p.m.
