COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE
June 11, 1987
The meeting was called to order by Council Chair Burton at
7:04 p.m., with Hansey, Hawley, Muenscher, Roehl, and Warner
present.
DISCUSSION OF THE WHATCOM COUNTY CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM
An extensive discussion took place among the Committee and
Sheriff Larry Mount, Commissioner Frank Morrow, Judges Marshall
Forrest and Byron Swedberg, Prosecutor David McEachran, and
Juvenile Detention Administration Gerald Wood about the
overburdening of the all facets of the County's criminal justice
system.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:05 p.m.
