HomeMy WebLinkAboutPublic Services November 3 1988WHATCOM COUNTY COUNCIL PUBLIC SERVICES COMMITTEE November 3, 1988 The meeting was called to order at 6 :35 p.m. by Councilman Corky Johnson with Council members Emily Jackson and Mary Vanderpol present. 0713 13! Phyllis (Joyce) Gilfilen was present. Puget Power had said it would not favor the vacation unless it was granted an easement across the ground. Gilfilen agreed to grant such an easement. Engineer Ed Henken said since it is necessary for the County to retain an easement for utilities, the fair market value of the property should be reduced by 30 percent for a new value of $1,450. JACKSON MOVED TO RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE VACATION TO THE FULL COUNCIL. Motion carried. • . 1 1 • 11 . • 1= • • • �� " Clerk did not have an information sheet prepared; however, Henken submitted a memo that addressed the complaint by Kathy Rounds regarding a possible bad job by the contractor. Apparently all is on schedule. Johnson asked the Clerk to send a copy of the letter to Rounds.
