PUBLIC SERVICES COMMITTEE
January 21, 1988
The meeting was called to order by Committee Chair Johnson
at 6 :35 p.m., with Warner sitting in for Hansey. Hansey arrived
at 6 :40 p.m. Also present were Council Members Jackson and
Vanderpol; Shirley Forslof, Auditor; Ed Henken, Engineer; Glynnis
Christie; Dick Metcalf; and several citizens from the Sucia Drive
area.
ORDINANCE REGARDING THE MATTER OF ESTABLISHING A SPEED.LIMI.T ON A
PORTION OF S,U,CIA DRIVE
Dick Metcalf, a resident of Sucia Drive, spoke about the
need for the ordinance, which would reduce the speed limit on a
portion of Sucia Drive.
WARNER MOVED TO RECOMMEND ADOPTION OF THE ORDINANCE.
The motion carried.
HEARING TO DETERMINE WHETHER WAFER DISTRICT N0. _15 IS INACTIV
AND SHOULD BE DISSOLVED
The Committee discussed this issue with Council Attorney
Randy Watts and Auditor Shirley Forslof.
HANSEY MOVED TO RECOMMEND THAT THE DISTRICT BE DISSOLVED.
The motion carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:56 p.m.
