According to revised RCW 17.10, applicants must submit petitions with 10 signatures of people in their districts to the board, which makes recommendations to the County Council. The Council then nominates and appoints persons to the positions. VANDERPOL MOVED TO RECOMMEND FORD AND DEBOER FILL THE VACANT POSITIONS. Motion carried. This requested that the Executive, in an already- budgeted personnel study, include exempt employees and also examine whether 7 -hour a day employees are a cost savings. Johnson and Vanderpol said they'd like to see the study done in- house. JACKSON MOVED TO RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE RESOLUTION, AND TO RECOMMEND THAT THE COUNCIL TO DISCUSS IT FURTHER. Motion carried. 1 'mM91111113WO it _ Ed Henken, Engineer, discussed Drainage District 3 (Green Lake) expansion that is underway. The assessment rate will be high for many people, but may eventually level out. Henken noted that the people in that area voted in the drainage district.
