The Clerk of the Council noted that Vacations and Renaming of streets
were very costly procedures. Vacation charges may not be adequate and at
this time there are no charges for renaming street. This matter was referred
to Sutberry to assess.
There was discussion about the recent City ordinance to raise ambulance
fees. We share this service and Sutberry will prepare a similar ordinance for
the County. Van Zanten did explain that the City has more calls and less
distance and the County has more distance and less calls.
Hansey and Warner mentioned some conversations they had with Pam Cushing
regarding a Canadian developer who had suggested building a Juvenile Detention
facility and leasing it to the County.
The meeting adjourned at 3 :20 p.m.
