PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
January 4, 1989
The meeting was called to order by Committee Chair Burton at 2 :03 p.m.
with committee members Hansey and Jackson present. Also present were Dan
Taylor and Terry Galvin of Planning and Mr. Morrelli. Meeting not taped.
CONSIDERATION OF OPEN SPACE APPLICATIONS FILED BY MR. MORRELLI
Taylor explained to Mr. Morrelli that he was denied because he would not
allow public access. Mr. Morrelli said he would allow public access as long
as there was no hunting or fires set on his property. It was explained that
he could post a sign with the restrictions and people would have to ask
permission to go on his property.
JACKSON MOVED TO RECOMMEND APPROVAL TO THE COUNCIL.
Carried.
CONSIDERATION OF OPEN SPACE APPLICATION FILED BY MR, ROZITSKI
Galvin said his scores indicated that it should be allowed.
HANSEY MOVED TO RECOMMEND APPROVAL TO THE COUNCIL.
Carried.
CONSIDERATION OF OPEN SPACE APPLICATIONS FILED BY HUISMAN AND KOIVISTO
Taylor explained why they could not recommend these applications.
BURTON MOVED TO DENY THESE APPLICATIONS.
CONSIDERATION OF OPEN SPACE APPLICATIONS FILED BY BARBER, HAINES AND LEE
Taylor asked that these be carried over to the January 18 meeting to
allow the applicants to attend.
Burton brought up the memo from Taylor regarding a change from a
moratorium on gas - station construction to making them a conditional use permit
where restrictions can be imposed and relaxed when appropriate.
Meeting adjourned at 2:18 p.m.
