NEW APPLICATION FOR A CLASS CD LICENSE BY PEDRO LUIS BECERRA AND ELISA BECERRA FOR EL CHARRO TOTILLERIA RESTAURANT, 7356 GUIDE MERIDIAN STREET, LYNDEN, WASHINGTON (AB90 -172) VANDER YACHT MOVED TO RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THIS ITEM. The motion passed unanimously. 2. PETITION FOR ROAD VACATION, ABUTTING BLOCK 27, PLAT OF WEST GENEVA, FILED BY EUGENE ALTMAN (CONTINUED FROM 4/24 AND 5/8 AT PETITIONER'S REQUEST)(AB90 -108) Vanderpol explained the reservations expressed by Henken have now been satisfied by Altman. VANDERPOL MOVED THIS BE BROUGHT FORWARD TO COUNCIL FOR THE PUBLIC HEARING. The motion carried unanimously. 3. PETITION FOR ROAD VACATION, PORTION OF BIRCH BAY - LYNDEN ROAD, FILED BY ZAN MARQUIS (AB90 -150) Vanderpol explained the Engineering department is now recommending this be approved as their concerns have been addressed; the property would be sold at 60 cents a square foot ($19,854) to the petitioner. VANDER YACHT MOVED THIS ITEM BE BROUGHT FORWARD TO ,COUNCIL FOR THE PUBLIC HEARING. The motion carried unanimously. Public Service Minutes, 5/22/90, Page 2 4. OTHER BUSINESS Bus Route Concerns: Imhof said he had been called by a school bus driver regarding improving the apron off Britton Road where it turns onto Hillsdale; trees also hang over this intersection making it more difficult and unsafe. Henken said this had been sent to the Maintenance and Operation and he believes it is being addressed. Code update: Differences between the County Code and the City of Bellingham on boat mufflers cause problems for the Sheriffs department.
