Tuesday, March 27, 1990
Meeting was called to order by Chairman Mary Vanderpol at 6:07 with members
Bob Imhof and Dennis Vander Yacht present.
1. Petition for the vacation of Grand Boulevard, Block 2, amended plat of
Geneva, filed by Glenn K. Johnson (AB90 -41)
County Engineer Ed Henken said both Engineering and Planning are against this
vacation because it will be only a 50 foot right of way. Glenn Johnson is still in favor
of it. There is a small portion at the end that is already vacated. This is beautiful view
property and no doubt large homes will go into this area. Vanderpol asked if there was
access in two places and Henken said if Grand was pushed through there would be.
This would be a costly project but it is possible. Vanderpol said the best thing to do
would be to wait for the hearing. Henken and Planning Director Dan Taylor will be at
the hearing to give their opinions and answer any questions.
IMHOF MOVED TO BRING THIS FORWARD TO THE PUBLIC HEARING.
