Tuesday, June 26, 1990
The meeting was called to order at 6:04 p.m. by Mary Vanderpol, Chairperson, with
Bob Imhof and Dennis Vander Yacht also present.
1. ORDINANCE DELETING SECTION 6.04 OF WHATCOM COUNTY CODE,
REPLACING IT WITH NEW ANIMAL CONTROL REGULATIONS (AB90-
188) 40 -65
Postponed until the arrival of Dan Warner.
2. PETITION FOR VACATION OF COUNTY ROAD, BROADWAY BETWEEN
WOOLRIDGE AND SUNSET, FILED BY JAKE SIMPSON AND PAM FOX
(AB90 -176) 66 -67
VANDER YACHT MOVED TO POSTPONE THE DECISION ON THIS UNTIL
JULY 10.
Motion carried.
3. ORDINANCE AMENDING WATER SAFETY AND BOATING CODE AND
FURTHER ADDITION FOR SAFER BOATING ON COUNTY LAKES
(AB90 -182) 68 -71
IMHOF MOVED TO RECOMMEND ADOPTION TO COUNCIL.
Motion carried.
4. RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF THE COMPREHENSIVE SIX YEAR
ROAD PROGRAM FOR THE YEARS 1991 THROUGH 1996 (AB90-
218) 72 -73
VANDER YACHT MOVED THIS ITEM BE BROUGHT FORWARD TO COUNCIL
FOR THE PUBLIC HEARING.
Motion carried.

5. STUMP GRINDER AND LANDFILL DISCUSSION (NO PAPER)
This discussion was postponed until a later meeting.
Imhof reported complaints about trash flying out of refuse carriers. He investigated
the matter and found that it was because equipment needed repairs. The committee agreed
to send a memo from the Public Services and Solid Waste Committee to the sanitary
services company that we had received complaints from the public that we would like to
pass on.
Because there was no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
