Present Absent Don Hansey Emily Jackson 1. RESOLUTION AGREEING TO A MULTI -YEAR REGIONAL STRATEGY FOR IMPLEMENTING THE GROWTH MANAGEMENT ACT (AB90 -366) Taylor, Planning Director, said that this needs to be passed by the City, County, and two other entities in the County. (Apparently it was passed by the City last night.) There was discussion about what would have to be adjusted if Initiative 547 is passed today by the voters. Taylor said they would be doing the wetlands inventory for the whole county except for Bellingham. Most of the money will be spent for critical areas; some. of it for experts in the fields required. The Planning Department hopes to have the first part done by July and will be ready to do the inventory after that. This will be the start of studying the urban growth study (population urban study). He has the agreement from all the small cities except Blaine; they just couldn't get it ready for tonight. They will all be signing inter - local agreements signed by all entities. JACKSON MOVED TO RECOMMEND APPROVAL TO THE COUNCIL. Motion carried unanimously. Taylor said that if Fourth Corner gets funding it will help this study as well; the Planning Department hopes to have some money coming from a Department of Ecology grant.
