REGULAR MEETING
January 22, 1991
The meeting was called to order at 6:03 p.m. by Committee Chairman Marvin
Vanderpol.

Dennis Vander Yacht (late)
1. ELECTION OF COMMITTEE OFFICERS (AB91 -001)
VANDERPOL NOMINATED IMHOF AS CHAIRMAN FOR 1991.
IMHOF MOVED NOMINATIONS CLOSE.
Motion passed unanimously.
The vote on the nomination was as follows:
Vanderpol for Imhof
Imhof for Imhof
2. DISCUSSION /UPDATE ON REQUEST(S) FOR NO- SHOOTING ZONES
(AB90 -251)
Vander Yacht arrived.
Imhof noted that there was no -one present to address this issue from the Sheriffs
department and recommended it be delayed until someone comes to speak on it.
3. PETITION FOR VACATION OF THE ALLEY BETWEEN LOTS 7 AND
8 AND BASS AND DEMOCRAT STREETS, FILED BY ERIC KEYES
(AB90 -401)
Imhof urged the petitioner to speak at the hearing before the full Council.
4. PETITION FOR VACATION OF AN ALLEY IN BLOCK 12, AMENDED
PLAT OF GENEVA, FILED BY GAYLE LUEDKE (AB91 -400)
This item will be discussed at the public hearing at the Council meeting.

Imhof asked that items scheduled for public hearing at the Council meeting not be
put on the Committee agenda.
5. RESOLUTION PROPOSING THE CREATION OF A DIKING DISTRICT
FOR THE PURPOSE OF UNDERTAKING AND MAINTAINING
CERTAIN FLOOD CONTROL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS; SETTING
FORTH THE BOUNDARIES OF SAID DIKING DISTRICT; AND
DIRECTING THE COUNTY ENGINEER TO INVESTIGATE THE
PROPOSED BOUNDARIES OF SAID DIKING DISTRICT AND THE
FEASIBILITY OF SAID PROJECTS (AB91 -020)
Imhof asked Henken to speak on this. Henken said if this is passed the hearing will
be March 12 and his department will conduct a study and give an opinion at the public
hearing.
VANDERPOL MOVED TO RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THIS ITEM TO
COUNCIL.
The motion carried unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:11 p.m.
