PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
July 23, 1991
The meeting was called to order at 4 p.m. by acting Committee
Chair Emily Jackson in the -small conference room, 1000 N. Forest
Street.

1. RESOLUTION ADOPTING RECOMMENDATIONS FOR 1991 A -D OPEN
SPACE /TIMBER AND OPEN SPACE /OPEN SPACE APPLICATIONS
(AB91 -279) (PLANNING DEPT. STAFF WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR
THIS PORTION OF THE MEETING) 138
Planner Gordon Scott was on hand to answer questions.
HANSEY MOVED TO RECOMMEND ADOPTION TO COUNCIL.
Motion carried unanimously.
2. DISCUSSION OF THE 1991 PUGET SOUND WATER QUALITY
MANAGEMENT PLANT THE PORTION COVERING LOCAL GOVERNMENT
WETLANDS PROTECTION PROGRAM (W -4.1) (AB91 -189)
Discussion was postponed until the first meeting in August.
Request was made of the Planning Staff for a time frame.
3. OTHER BUSINESS
Will Johnson, Attorney for the Firs,. and Tom Bomont, Assistant
Director of The Firs, were present to discuss the requested time
extension for the land contract between the County and The Firs.
The contract is due to expire January 10, 1992; it was a 15 -year
contract. The Firs are requesting a seven year extension.
The Firs' plan will be moved on to the full Council and to
legal for review.
Because there was no further business, the meeting was
adjourned.
