October 27, 1992
The meeting was called to order at 6:04 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 1000 N.
Forest St., 2nd floor, by Bob Imhof, Chairman.

REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATION TO SIGN AN INTERLOCAL
AGREEMENT WITH THE LUMMI INDIAN BUSINESS COUNCIL
FOR IMPROVEMENTS ON LUMMI SHORE ROAD (AB92 -405)
Jeff Monsen, M &O Superintendent, explained the document.
Items discussed were: funding; commitments of both the county and the tribe;
desire to halt the erosion of the roadway; consultant cost.sharing; the explanation of the
three phases; purchase of property at fair market value; permit acquisition; transfer;
maintenance of infrastructure; what happens to excess funds; tracking of funds and input;
inspection and acceptance; the need to act quickly on obtaining funds available to the
Lummis.
Comments were made by: Imhof; Monsen; Van Zanten, County Executive; Kris
Heintz, 3411 Robertson Road; Carl Rickert, Engineer for the Lummi tribe; Brenner;
Vander Yacht.
It was decided by consensus that the matter would be brought back to the Council
at November 3 meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
