The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 1000 N.
Forest St., 2nd floor, by Committee Chairman Bob Imhof.

1. ORDINANCE REPLACING WHATCOM COUNTY CODE 9.32
REGARDING UNLAWFUL DISCHARGE OF FIREARMS AND BOW
AREAS (AB92- 032)(KEPT IN COMMITTEE 4/28 AND 5/12)
Imhof explained this item will be discussed on June 9 after further rewriting.
2. RESOLUTION CALLING FOR AN ELECTION ON THE
INCORPORATION OF BIRCH BAY AS A CITY (AB92 -211)
Imhof explained this item has gone through Boundary Review Board and this is just
to place it on the ballot.
BRENNER MOVED TO RECOMMEND APPROVAL TO THE COUNCIL OF
THIS ITEM.
The motion carried unanimously.
3. RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF THE HEARING ON WHATCOM
COUNTY'S SIX -YEAR COMPREHENSIVE ROAD PROGRAM (AB92-
226) (REFERRAL TO PUBLIC SERVICE)
VANDER YACHT MOVED TO RECOMMEND TO COUNCIL THIS ITEM BE
APPROVED.
The motion carried unanimously.
4. ORDINANCE REDUCING THE SPEED LIMIT ON HAXTON WAY (AB92-
167) (KEPT IN COMMITTEE 5/12)
Imhof explained that the Lummi representative was out of town and he wanted to
keep this in committee until June 9.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:05 p.m.
