The meeting was called to order by Committee Chairman Robert Imhof in the
Council Chambers, 1000 N. Forest, Suite 203.

1. ADMINISTRATIODNI
BOARD CRAB) (AB92- 06 ) GAR, COUNTY ROAD
Vern Wagar discussed the following points: The composition of CRAB; vacancies
on the board; distribution of gas tax; history of CRAB including reation in 1965; revenue
sources; project prioritization criteria; program desciption; benefits that CRAB has provided
for Whatcom County; computer program; invitation to Ocean Shores conference.
2. ORDINANCE REDUCING THE SPEED LIMIT ON HAXTON WAY
(AB92 -167) (REFERRED TO COMMITTEE AFTER A HEARING ON
4/28)
Imhof explained the issue.
IMHOF MOVED TO RECOMMEND ADOPTION OF THE ORDINANCE TO
THE COUNCIL.
The motion was carried unanimously.
3. ORDINANCE REPLACING WHATCOM COUNTY CODE 9.32
REGAR (DING UN)LA(WFUL DISCHARGE OF FIREARMS AND BOW ACTION ON THIS
AREAS ITEM MANY NOT TAKE PLACE AT THIS MY 28 G DEPENDING ON
THE DISCUSSION TO TAKE PLACE AT THE 6 P.M. PUBLIC
SERVICES AND SOLID WASTE COMMITTEE MEETING)
Imhof recommended this be put off for two weeks for more review.
.Items discussed were: zoning where this would be appropriate; clustering on R5
areas; enforcement problems; clarification of the ordinance; procedure for establishing a no
shooting zone; densities.

Vander Yacht.
The meeting adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
