3. OTHER BUSINESS
Smith Road Project (AB93 -217): Brenner and Imhof asked for an update on the
Smith Road construction project. Mansour said excavation should be completed this
week, and if that is the case, the entire surface should be able to be completed this year.
Hannegan Road project also was discussed. Mansour estimated the Smith Road should
be completed by the third week of October, weather permitting.
Euclid Avenue Traffic Problem (AB93 -175): John Sibold, 1622 Euclid Avenue,
told the Committee of a meeting with Jeff Monsen and Sibold's concerns about Euclid
Avenue. A recommendation may be coming from the County Executive soon. Sibold's
belief is some kind of road closure with same bypass for emergency vehicles and school
buses is the best answer. Committee members commented. He spoke of a traffic study
done recently in front of his home and the high speeds of travel in the 25- mile -an -hour-
zone. There was discussion.
The meeting was adjourned at 6 p.m.
