Forest St., 2nd floor, by Ken Henderson, senior member. Also present: Absent: Bob Imhof Dennis Vander Yacht IMHOF NOMINATED HENDERSON TO CHAIR THE COMMITTEE. The motion carried unanimously. 1. REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATION FOR THE EXECUTIVE TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH ENVIRONMENTAL RESOURCE SERVICES FOR WASTE REDUCTION AND RECYCLING EDUCATION AND PROMOTION PROGRAM FOR $118,000 (OF WHICH 60% IS REIMBURSED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGY) (AB93 -007) Topics discussed: Background; explanation of contract; net cost to County; source of funds; effectiveness of recycling effort. Sutberry discussed the citation for failure to evacuate after the gas incident at the Courthouse. It's a fine of $2,250 for a serious violation. Specifies a lack of adequate Finance Minutes, 1112193, Page 3 guidelines for evacuation in case of emergencies. Sutberry says the Executive's Office is considering appealing the citation. There was discussion about the citation and the grounds the County has for appeal. Sutberry handed out copies of the citation.
