INTERIM URBAN GROWTH BOUNDARIES
The meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m. by Council Chair Bob Imhof in
Vista Middle School Auditorium, Ferndale.

PUBLIC HEARING: INTERIM URBAN GROWTH BOUNDARIES (AB94 -090)
This meeting was the first of three public hearings on the proposed Interim Urban
Growth Boundaries, which are required by the State Growth Management Act. The
focus of this meeting was the proposed growth patterns for Ferndale, Blaine and vicinity.
About 30 people were present. Testimony on Ferndale -area properties was taken first,
followed by Blaine /Birch Bay area testimony, then general discussion. Council Members
asked questions during testimony. Properties proposed by speakers to be included in
urban growth boundaries are marked on the attached maps.

The hearing was closed. Imhof said written comment will be accepted by the
Council on the Blaine, Birch Bay and Ferndale Interim Urban Growth Areas until
April 27.
The meeting adjourned at 9:15 p.m.
