The meeting was called to order at 1:30 p.m. by Committee Chair Barbara
Brenner in the Council Chamber, 311 Grand.

COMMITTEE DISCUSSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS TO COUNCIL
1. RECEIPT AND DISCUSSION WITH STAFF OF PROCESS TO
FOLLOW FOR PETITION TO FORM A ROAD IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT ON ACADEMY ROAD (FILED BY PHIL SERKA) (AB94-
266)
Jeff Monsen, Transportation Services, spoke (handout received).
This item will be on the June 14 agenda.
2. DISCUSSION OF STATE COMPOST GUIDELINES (AB94 -281)
Presentation made by Regina Delahunt, Health /Environmental Health.
No action was taken.
3. DISCUSSION OF WEIGHT LIMIT ON SHADY LANE (POSSIBLE
RECOMMENDATION TO COUNCIL, REQUESTING STAFF TO DRAFT
ORDINANCE FOR LATER CONSIDERATION) (AB94 -195A)
Staff report was made by Ed Henken, Engineering.
Henderson and Brenner requested Engineering come back with recommendations
as to what they think is best for the road.
COUNCIL "CONSENT AGENDA" ITEMS:
OTHER BUSINESS
York Street (AB94 -212). The short - platting is continuing. Engineering would
like some direction in what Council wants Engineering to do next, and requested this be

put this on the June 14 Committee meeting for further discussion.
