9 The meeting was called to order at 6 p.m. by County Council Chair Robert Imhof
10 in the Multi- Purpose Room, Courthouse Basement, 311 Grand Avenue.

29 1. THIS IS TO BE AN INTRODUCTORY MEETING OF THE TWO COUNCILS
30 TO DISCUSS AND EXPLORE POSSIBLE FUTURE TOPICS, THE TIMING
31 OF THOSE TOPICS AND THE PROCESSES INVOLVED

33 Various ideas were discussed on how best to get acquainted with each other in
34 order to begin working together. Each council decided to explain for each. other's
35 benefit how their council functions, what their responsibilities are, etc., noting that having
36 this information in writing would be especially meaningful. It was suggested that names
37 and telephone numbers be exchanged, as well as to work on ground rules and contact
38 counterparts before the next meeting.

40 Imhof will contact Henry Cagey, Lummi Council Chair, to arrange the next joint
41 meeting (next month).

ADDENDUM
1. APPROVAL OF THE CONTRACT WITH HEBERT RESEARCH FOR
CONSULTING SERVICES ON THE ECONOMIC IMPACTS OF THE
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN (AB95 -202)
Dawson moved to approve the contract.
There was discussion on the motion.
Motion carried 5 -2 with Harris opposed and Henderson abstaining.
ADJOURN
The meeting was adjourned at approximately 9 p.m.
