The meeting was called to order at 1:36 p.m. by Committee Chair Barbara.
Brenner in the Council Committee Room, 311 Grand Avenue.

OTHER BUSINESS
UPDATE AND DISCUSSION ON THE DEAD -END SECTION OF
LINDSAY ROAD (AB95 -195)
Ed Henken, Engineering, spoke to this issue. He noted vehicles have been
clocked travelling up to 50 mph on this road. Traffic consists of approximately 90
vehicles per day. According to Henken, the Sheriff's Office has no problem with
mandatory enforcement although, due to the low volume of traffic, neighbors will be
mostly policing the road.
Starkenburg moved to recommend to instruct staff to proceed in preparing a draft
ordinance for introduction in two weeks (July 18, 1995) regarding a speed limit of
25 mph.
Motion carried 2 -0.
