December 12, 1995
The meeting was called to order at 3:04 p.m. by Committee Chair Ward Nelson in
the Council Committee Room, 311 Grand Avenue.

COMMITTEE DISCUSSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS TO COUNCIL
1. CONSIDERATION OF HEARING EXAMINER'S
RECOMMENDATION TO CONDITIONALLY APPROVE A
PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT AMENDMENT FILED BY THE
PENTAS DIVISION OF TRILLIUM CORPORATION (AB95 -466)
Ed Good, Hearing Examiner, answered questions regarding the process of a
hearing. He noted there was no zone change proposal or recommendation; the zoning
remains the same for now. Discussion followed regarding whether this was indeed a
zoning change.
Those commenting included:
Amy Kosterlitz, attorney for Trillium
Don Kehrer, attorney for Trillium
Sherilyn Wells, 1020 Geneva
Bill Florea, Land Use Services, gave a historical perspective on zoning.
Faruk Taysi, Trillium Corporation, spoke to additional light industry acreage.
Nate Brown, Planning. & Development Services, requested more consistency in
design standards. He noted a P.U.D. was created with much design standard flexibility.
Dawson moved to recommend conditional approval.
Motion carried 2 -1 with Harris opposed.
