April 25, 1995
The meeting was called to order at 3 p.m. by Committee Chair Ward Nelson in
the Committee Room of the Council Chambers, 311 Grand Avenue.

COMMITTEE DISCUSSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS TO COUNCIL
1. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON MODIFICATIONS TO
THE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE FIRS BIBLE AND MISSIONARY
CONFERENCE CENTER AND WHATCOM COUNTY (FOR
PROJECT TO BE KNOWN AS ANDERSON LODGE) (AB94 -588)
20 Jeff McClure, Ross McClure, representing the Firs, spoke to this issue. He and
21 the Firs worked with Public Works to resolve any problems forthcoming. The solution
22 was to widen Geneva Street by 7.5 feet and add a sidewalk (asphalt).

I Nate Brown, Planning & Development, spoke regarding the work needing to be
G5 done prior to the modifications.

27 Harris moved to recommend for approval for the language as inserted in the
28 second paragraph, which includes the contract language provisions proposed in the
29 November 3, 1994 letter to the Council from Ross McClure, which was modified
30 April 18, 1995.

32 Motion carried unanimously.

34 OTHER BUSINESS

36 Dawson noted her desire to add Lot Consolidation to the next Committee's
37 agenda. Discussion followed after which it was decided to put this matter on the first
38 Committee meeting's agenda in July.
