The meeting was called to order at 11 a.m. by Committee Chair Larry Harris in
the Committee Room of the Chambers, 311 Grand Avenue.

1. REVIEW AND DISCUSSION OF STATE /COUNTY ACTIONS TO
DATE AND FUTURE REQUIREMENTS FOR CREATION OF THE
DRAYTON HARBOR SHELLFISH PROTECTION DISTRICT (AB95-
556)
Nate Brown, Planning, and Mark Challender, Council of Governments spoke to
the letter of concurrence. The Committee was requested to consider sending a letter to
the Council of Governments concurring its consideration of creating a shellfish
protection district, a water quality district, as a recommendation from the Drayton
Harbor Water Management Plan. The Council will then be asked to create this shellfish
protection district.

Henderson moved to send a letter of concurrence to the Council of Governments.
Motion carried unanimously.
Other letters of concurrence will be sent to the Council of Governments by Jeff
Monsen, Public Works, and by Nate Brown, Planning Development Services.
ADJOURN
The meeting was adjourned at noon.
