Nate Brown, Planning & Development Services, clarified his department's role for
the committee (assist the Council in the decision - making process via a report).

Shirley Van Zanten, County Executive, was very concerned that the Department
of Ecology's (DOE) report was received just yesterday morning and that the DOE needs
to take responsibility and identify the problems. She noted that her department will take
only the minimum kind of sources of pollution that have been identified by Ecology and
do a schematic of what currently is in place to addresss those. She also stated there are
no resources to do any more than that.

Michael Freestone stated that sunsetting needs to be included in this plan.
