June 28, 1994
The meeting was called to order at 3 p.m. by Committee Chair Ward Nelson in
the Council Chambers, 311 Grand Avenue.

COMMITTEE DISCUSSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS TO COUNCIL:
1. BOYER ROAD PETITION (AB94 -346)
Bill Florea, Division Manager, Land Use Services, spoke to the Committee. Nate
Brown, Planning & Development Services, briefly addressed the Committee, as did Ed
Henken, Engineering.
No one was present to speak for the neighborhood group.
Nelson said he will send the neighborhood group a letter explaining the hearing,
etc., and will telephone the person who wrote him the initial letter.
2. DISCUSSION OF ALLEGED VIOLATIONS ON LAKE WHATCOM,
LUDTKE, VIOLATION FINES (AB94 -324)

Rita Foley, neighbor of property in question
William Brannian, 3846 South Bay Drive, Sedro Woolley
Sherilyn Wells, 1020 Geneva
Harris asked for a report regarding any action taken on the Shoreline
Management Plan permit violation and the action, if any, that might be open for the
Council. Nate Brown volunteered to produce this report.
3. REQUEST TO AMEND THE URBAN FRINGE SUBAREA
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN MAP AND THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP
FROM TOURIST COMMERCIAL TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL
FOR APPROXIMATELY 29 ACRES AND FROM URBAN
Planning Minutes, 6/28/94, Page 1
RESIDENTIAL MEDIUM DENSITY /18 DWELLING UNITS PER
ACRE TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL FOR APPROXIMATELY SIX ACRES
(AB94 -313)
This item has been postoned until July 12 at the request of those making this
request in order to obtain additional information.
