The meeting was called to order at 9:30 a.m. by Committee Chair Alvin Starkenburg
in the Council Committee Room, 311 Grand Avenue.

2. REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATION FOR THE EXECUTIVE TO ENTER
INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH CHRIS D. CROOKES FOR CHILD
ABUSE /SEXUAL ABUSE COUNSELING (AB94 -226)
Brenner moved to recommend approval and forward to the Council.

3. REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATION FOR THE EXECUTIVE TO ENTER
INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH NICHOLLS ENGINEERING OF
SPOKANE FOR PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING WORK TO LOAD
RATE ALL REMAINING COUNTY BRIDGES FOR A SUM OF

MAINTAIN ROADS AND BRIDGES TO THE ONLY RESPONSIVE
BIDDER, NC MACHINERY COMPANY FOR $42,257.60 INCLUDING
SALES TAX (AB94 -239)

INDUSTRIES FOR $41,581.26 (AB94 -240)

COUNTY AN AGENT FOR THE DOL IN ALL THINGS RELATED TO

FOR A GRANT TO REVIEW THE EXISTING LOCAL
ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATIONS TO INSURE GREATER

EXECUTIVE TO SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THE BELLINGHAM
HERALD FOR SAME (AB94 -124A)

Nelson moved to hold until someone from the Herald comes to the Council meeting
to address some questions regarding public notices.

Discussion: Transportation Services Personnel (Stores) to remain in Transporation
Services Department or transfer to Administrative Services.

It was suggested that either some time be set aside during a regular meeting to
