The meeting was called to order at 5:50 p.m. by Chair Bob Imhof in the
Committee Room of the Council Chambers, 311 Grand Avenue.

1. DISCUSSION WITH PROSECUTOR DAVE MCEACHRAN
REGARDING CITY OF BELLINGHAM LITIGATION (AB94 -597)
(5:45 - 6:00 P.M.)
Henderson moved to go into executive session to discuss this matters.
Motion carried 5 -0 with Brenner absent.
2. SPECIAL PRESENTATION BY JEFF MONSEN ON SOLID WASTE
ISSUES AND PROGRAMS (AB95 -068) (6:00 - 6:50 P.M.)
This portion of the meeting was called to order in the Council Chambers at
6:20 p.m. Brenner was present.
Jeff Monsen gave his presentation (his report was given to all Council members,
on file, AB95 -068), titled "Report to the Whatcom County Executive and Members of
the Whatcom County Council Regarding Evaluation of Recommendations Pertaining to
the Solid Waste Program ". Topics discussed included:
Policy Directives
Basis for the County Solid Waste Program
Interim Steps

— Recommendations
